Applying is Free. We use the Common Application, a standard application used by many colleges and universities. We Automatically Review for Scholarships. Accepted applicants are automatically reviewed for scholarships and notified in their acceptance letter if they receive one; no separate application is required. 99% of first-year students receive some form of financial aid. SAT and/or ACT Scores are Optional for All Majors. We take a holistic approach to admissions. While your GPA and coursework are important, we also consider your letters of recommendation, leadership, community service, and extracurricular activities. |

Important Dates
Here are some of the most important dates to remember:- December: File the FAFSA online for need-based aid consideration (the FAFSA Title IV code for the University of Scranton is 003384).
- December 15: Regular decision applications review starts.
- Late January to early February: Need-based financial aid notification begins.
- May 1: Admitted applicants must reserve their place in the fall class by this date.
