The University of Scranton is easily reached by car and air. Located off Interstate 81 in Northeastern Pennsylvania, driving time from New York City, Philadelphia and Syracuse is just two hours, with Trenton and Hartford less than three hours away and Washington D.C. and Boston only four-and-a-half hours away.

For those traveling by air to the metropolitan Scranton area, we are serviced by the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport (AVP).  Allegiant, Delta, United Express and American Eagle flights are available. The airport is off Exit 178 (old exit 49A) off Interstate 81, about 10 miles south of Scranton. You may choose to rent a car at the airport, call a cab service or you may call us at 1-888-SCRANTON and we will help you make arrangements.

I-81 South to Exit 185*

From Connecticut and New England:

From Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey:

Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-476) to Exit 115, then I-81 North to Exit 185*

I-83 North to I-81 North to Exit 185*

*Directions to Ridge Row Parking Lot  from I-81 Exit 185:

From I-81 take Exit 185 (Central Scranton Expressway): Follow signs to campus (on right). You will see a traffic light ahead; stay in the farthest right-hand lane and turn sharply right onto Madison Avenue. Proceed 1 block to a stop sign (corner of Madison Avenue and Linden Street). At the stop sign, turn right onto Linden Street. Proceed to the next stop sign (Linden Street dead ends) and turn right onto Monroe Avenue. Proceed 1 block to the stop sign (corner of Monroe Avenue and Ridge Row). Turn left onto Ridge Row.  Follow Ridge Row to the first stop sign (corner of Ridge Row and North Webster Avenue). Proceed straight through the stop sign. Drive a ½ block and turn right over the railroad tracks and make an immediate right into the Ridge Row lot, which is letter “C” on the campus map.  You may park in any space.

*A Scranton representative will be stationed in this lot and will direct you to a shuttle, which will bring you a short distance to check-in at the DeNaples Center, which is number “38” on the campus map. The shuttle will be available from this parking lot for your convenience from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. A return shuttle will also be provided from the DeNaples Center to this lot at the conclusion of your event.

If the Ridge Row Parking Lot fills, you will be directed to Fitzpatrick Field Parking Lot. There will be signage and guides to get you to the Fitzpatrick parking lot and the shuttle vans. You can access of a map of this route by clicking here. The shuttle will be available from this parking lot for your convenience from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. A return shuttle will also be provided from the DeNaples Center to this lot at the conclusion of your event.
