International Baccalaureate Credit

International Baccalaureate Credit

In keeping with our Jesuit tradition, The University of Scranton rewards qualified students who have demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence. We understand the effort required of high school students to successfully complete International Baccalaureate (IB) courses.

Students interested in gaining University of Scranton academic credit for IB courses should reference this link for specific course credit information.

The University grants academic credit for only higher level (HL) exams with a grade of five (5) or better. Official exam scores must be sent directly to the University Admissions Office in order for credit to be awarded. Official score reports may be obtained here.

Although credit may be earned through approved/accredited articulation agreements, college credit, Advanced Placement (AP) or transfer courses, please keep in mind that credits for a specific course may be granted only once.
