International Application Checklist

Please use the checklist below as a guide in submitting materials to complete your application to Scranton. 

  • International Freshman Application Requirementsplus or minus

    • -On-line application
    • -Official transcripts (with certified English translation) showing all secondary and post-secondary courses and grades
    • -Official results of the TOEFL (minimum 80 ibt) or IELTS (minimum 6.5 overall band) and official results of the SAT I or ACT (optional). The University of Scranton Codes SAT and TOEFL: 2929 ACT: 3736 (NOTE: you must submit at least one of these tests.)
    • -Letter of recommendation from an instructor
    • -Certified confirmation of financial resources
    • -Personal statement: Submit in the online application, email to admissions@scranton.edu or mail to the address below.
    • -List of extracurricular activities (optional). Submit in the online application, email to admissions@scranton.edu or mail to the address below.
    • -Please be sure to request that your transcript, letter of recommendation and any other supplemental materials are forwarded to:

  • International Transfer Application Requirementsplus or minus

    • -Online application
    • -Official transcripts (with certified English translation) showing all secondary and post-secondary courses, grades and graduation date(s)
    • -Official transcripts from all colleges attended, whether or not credit was earned, and a list of courses in progress; If the school is an international college or university, you must submit a World Education Services (WES) transcript evaluation of this coursework.
    • -Official results of the TOEFL (minimum 80 ibt) or IELTS (minimum 6.5 overall band) and official results of the SAT I or ACT (optional). The University of Scranton Codes SAT and TOEFL: 2929 ACT: 3736 (NOTE: you must submit at least one of these tests.)

    CERTIFICATION OF FINANCES INFORMATION
    Undergraduate Students

    For students pursuing undergraduate studies at The University of Scranton, your assured support for the first twelve (12) months of study should be at least US$68,139.00.

    This total cost estimate consists of:

    • tuition and fees $48,462.00 ($46,684 flat rate plus $400 in fees)
    • room and board (dormitory class B, 14 meal plan) $14,952.00
    • books and supplies $2,625.00
    • personal expenses $2,100.00 (est. $1875 for health insurance)
